Residential Care Homes
(RUTCHT) Richmond upon Thames Churches Housing Trust is a registered Charity with over 20 years experience in the management and running of registered residential care Homes in the community; and in meeting the care needs of frail elderly people, and people with dementia at Marling Court and Viera Gray House.
RUTCHT are also the Trustees to the Quintus Registered Charity who are responsible for the management and operation of Lyle House as with Marling Court and Viera Gray House.
On 1st October 2010 the Trust’s Care Homes were re-registered with the Care Quality Commission (Registration) Regulations 2009 under the Government’s new Health and Safety Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2010.
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the independent regulator of health and adult social care services in England. CQC has overseen a new system of registration brought about by the Health & Social Care Act 2008. This Legislation has changed how health and adult social care services in England are regulated and inspected. In order for organisations or services to be re-registered providers must show that they are meeting new essential standards of quality & safety in all of the regulated activities they provide.
The main aim and purpose of the Trust’s operations in care homes is to:
• Provide accommodation and personal care to residents’ in our homes.
• Provide a safe, homely, secure environment that is free from any forms of abuse.
• Consult with residents’ and their representatives’ in all matters concerning them, and in taking appropriate action where required.
• Work collaboratively with all health and social care professionals in ensuring that the Trust’s aims and objectives for each location is being achieved, and that residents’ needs are being appropriately catered for.
• Continue to train and educate all of our staffing teams in order that service provision is appropriate to need, and that regular care planning & risk-assessment of individual needs takes place.
• Regularly review service provision in each location and bring in other agencies for the purpose of audit and future action planning in improving services.
• Promote residents’ human rights in ensuring that equality and diversity is at the forefront of all of the Trust’s operations’.
• Provide regular internal auditing to ensure that the Trust is meeting its statutory and legal obligations in each of its locations and service provision.
• Regularly review and monitor the standards of care provided by care management teams in each location and in maintaining required standards.
Registered Residential Care Provision
We have three purpose built registered residential care homes, providing 120 beds, situated in the boroughs of Richmond and Wandsworth. The Trust is well known for the excellent care services we provide to elderly people and people with dementia across other boroughs. These boroughs include Hammersmith, Kingston, Ealing, Essex, Hounslow, Brent, East Sussex, and Lambeth – all of whom have placed vulnerable adults in our care homes.
We own and manage 120 bed spaces across our three care homes for frail elderly people and people with dementia. We offer a high standard of care 24 hours a day within our three purpose built residential care homes. Our homes are registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Each home caters for frail elderly people over the age of 65 and people suffering from dementia, other related illnesses and physical disabilities.
