Contents Insurance
What would happen if you had a burglary, lost your keys and had to replace your locks and keys or you accidentally broke your television or sound system? Would you be able to replace them?
The Group insures the structure of your home but not the contents. Your belongings and home contents are YOUR responsibility, not that of the Group.
We strongly advise all our leaseholders / shared owners to take out home contents insurance. If you don’t want to take advantage of the Group’s insurance scheme then you should make your own private arrangements. You should also have third party cover in case someone else claims against you. This situation could arise, for example, if you leave a tap running and flood your neighbour’s flat: you could be liable for the damage caused.
To offer you an insurance policy that is affordable, we have teamed up with Royal and SunAlliance for a deal that we believe gives you good value for money.
