Equality and Diversity

In our Equality and Diversity Strategy  we set out the framework for the Paragon Community Housing Group.  Existing and future group members will be bound by the aims and objectives and will be expected to develop policies, procedures and systems designed to eliminate discrimination and promote good practice. This strategy sets out a framework that will measure and monitor the group’s performance to ensure that we fulfill our responsibility to promote equality and diversity in all our activities and develop a culture which values people from all sections of the community.

The Government is committed to creating a fair society with fair chances for everyone. For society to be fair people must have the chance to live their lives freely and fulfil their potential. To achieve this the Government will be tackling inequality and rooting out discrimination.  In line with this a new Equality Bill was published in April 2009.
