You are here Home > Richmond Housing Trust > Moving home > How do I apply for a transfer?
If you want to move within the areas where the Trust has properties, you may be eligible to go on our transfer list. This is providing that the following has been met:
We carry out a very small number of transfers a year and more people are seeking accommodation than there are vacancies. A transfer typically takes place when a resident is facing harassment or domestic violence or they need to move for medical reasons. A transfer could also take place if there is a problem with the property you live in - if it is too small too large or needs major repair work.
If none of the above applies to you, your chances of a transfer may be small and you could wait a long time for a move. We would advise you to look for other ways of moving to another property, your Tenancy Services Officer will be able to advise you.
