Richmond upon Thames Churches Housing Trust

How do I End My Tenancy?

If you want to end your tenancy with the Trust, you need to:

  1. Give us 4 weeks notice in writing
  2. Pay any rent and arrears up to the date you leave (if you are having problems paying your rent please click here to contact our customer services and income teams)
  3. Follow the guidance given in our ‘moving out’ leaflet.  please click on the link below for further information.   The leaflet will explain the main things you need to think about when you are moving out. (Link needed to Moving out leaflet).

What if I want to find somewhere else to live?

If you want to know more about your options for moving house please click on the link below.

The link to ‘Your Moving Options’ will give you information on the various choices to help you to move. (Link needed to your moving options handout)

If you want to apply for a transfer to another one of our properties, you must:

  1. Not owe any rent
  2. Not have any neighbour complaints against you
  3. Not have any court action against you

Please click here for more information about applying for a transfer.  (Link to Transfer Newsletter handout)

It is very hard to move through our transfer register as 3 out of every 4 of our vacancies are allocated to people on the Borough housing registers.  Sometimes we can only offer 2 or 3 transfers a year, less for family sized accommodation.  Unless you have a very high priority, we are unlikely to be able to offer you a transfer.
