We aim to provide a range of good quality flexible sheltered housing homes and support services tailored to the needs of our residents. These services are regularly reviewed in consultation with residents and other stakeholders to ensure that they both enable and promote residents independence and meet the changing needs of the local authorities in which they are provided.
We specialise in providing independent living with support when it is needed and emergency out of hours cover. Each of our schemes spread across the boroughs of Richmond, Wandsworth and Elmbridge are specifically designed for those at or approaching retirement age.
What type of housing for older people do we provide?
• Independent living with pull cord Careline only support (Category 1)
• Independent living with pull cord Careline support and a visiting, non resident Manager. (Category 1)
• Independent living with a Resident Manager Service. (Category 2)
• Independent living with a Resident Manager Service and ‘extra care’ services (available in Wandsworth only) (Category 2.5)
• Homes are available to rent or buy.

Diana House – Lonsdale Road, Barnes, SW13 9QP

Purpose built sheltered housing scheme, comprising thirty two homes to rent and 1 Managers flat. Built in 1984 Lonsdale Road runs alongside the river Thames and Diana House is situated next to Walnut Tree Close, a general needs housing scheme we also own and manage. Diana House is within 15 minutes of Barnes High Street in one direction and within 20 minutes of Hammersmith Bridge with all its amenities. The scheme has 31 self contained flats (25 single person self contained bedsits and 6 one bedroom flats). Its facilities consist of a communal lounge, communal laundry, communal grounds, guest room, lift and car park. The scheme has a Resident Manager Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm with the emergency control centre at all other times. Tenants of Diana House are encouraged to become involved in the local Walnut Tree Close Residents Association. There are also activities for residents held at the scheme.
Dyers Lane – Barnes, SW15 6JS

A Twenty home scheme re-converted and completely upgraded in 1997. Good location and good size flats. There are some 2 bedroom flats a this scheme which are prioritised for older people with live in carers. Situated off the Upper Richmond Road, Dyers Lane consists of 6 one bedroom and 14 two bedroom flats. A few flats overlook the Upper Richmond Road with one entrance off the Upper Richmond Road and another off Dyers Lane. The back of the development overlooks family houses and three storey flats. Some of the flats overlook a courtyard which has a central planted area. The scheme is covered by an emergency control centre 24 hours per day. There is communal parking including one disabled space and the remaining spaces are non allocated for tenants and visitors and garden areas.
Trinity Church Road – (Block 10 & 12) – Barnes, SW13 8EF

Trinity Church Road is close to Castlenau, Barnes. It is situated on the “Harrods Village estate” and comprises 3, three bedroom houses for general needs letting, and 12 one bedroom flats for older people. The scheme is covered 24 hours per day by emergency control centre. There is no lift. There are communal grounds consisting of garden areas and car park – non allocated spaces for tenants and visitors. The development is centrally located, with good transport services, and very close to Hammersmith Bridge and shopping areas.
Julian Court – Grange Road, Barnes, SW13 9RB

Julian Court is located in a quiet road 10 minutes from Barnes Pond and the High Street. The scheme consists of 1, 2 bedroom flat and 6 single person self-contained flats. The communal facilities include a lounge, laundry, car park – non allocated for tenants and visitors and garden areas. Julian Court is covered by the emergency central control 24 hours per day. There is also a weekly visiting service which is undertaken by the Sheltered Support Officer and coffee mornings are held with the tenants. Julian Court is owned by the Julian Memorial Trust (part of the Quintus Housing Trust) and is managed by Richmond upon Thames Churches Housing Trust.
Oak House – 6 Carlton Drive, Putney, SW15 2BZ

Oak House is situated on a lovely residential road off Putney Hill and Putney High Street is approximately 10 minutes away. The scheme has a communal lounge, communal laundry facilities, single and double guest rooms, lift, car park – non allocated for tenants and visitors - and communal grounds. There are 24 one bedroom flats over 5 storeys. There is a good social atmosphere with regular activities and social events. The scheme is covered by a Resident Manager Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm with the emergency control centre at all other times.

The scheme is very well located. The flats are single person which can be harder to let. Situated on the same road as Oak House, this scheme has a communal lounge, communal laundry, guest room, lift, car park – non allocated spaces for tenants and visitors - and communal grounds. There are 14 single person self-contained flats over four storey’s. Centrally located, Putney High Street is approximately 10 minutes away and there is good bus and train services. The scheme is covered by emergency control 24 hours per day. However, it also has a peripatetic warden (from Oak House) attending once a week for three house.
Wickham House – 29 Kersfield Road, Putney, SW15 3HH

This scheme is approximately 30 minutes away from Putney High Street. It is close to bus routes going into town and very close to Wimbledon Park/Common. The scheme has a communal lounge, communal laundry facilities, guest room, lift, car park – non allocated spaces for tenants and visitors - and communal grounds. There are 21 single person self-contained flats and 3 one bedroom flats. There are 3 floors in the building. The scheme is covered by a Resident Manager Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm with the emergency control centre at all other times.
Chestnut House
Extra Care Sheltered Housing
Category 2.5
A new 41 flat purpose-built extra care scheme at Chestnut House in Wandsworth opened in 2008. This extra care scheme allows residents to remain independent and enjoy the privacy of their own home, but with the added reassurance of a staff call system, security CCTV entrance system and flexible individually tailored package of care and support provided by staff available 24 hours a day. The individual packages are approved by a joint assessment panel made up of representatives of The London Borough of Wandsworth, RuTCHT and the Care Providers. The communal facilities consist of lounge & conservatory, library/quiet room, assisted bathroom, laundry room, non allocated parking spaces for tenants and visitors, a wheelchair store room, guest room, and environmentally friendly gardens.
To be considered for a tenancy at Chestnut House, you and/or your partner must:
• Be aged 55 years or over
• Be assessed by Wandsworth Council’s Adult Social Services Department as needing care or support.

Alberta Court is situated in a quiet street approximately 5 minutes away from central Richmond. It was re-converted and completely upgraded in 1996 to twenty two fully self-contained flats, mainly one bedroom with two, 2 bedroom flats and three bedsits over two storeys. The scheme has a communal laundry, car park – non allocated parking spaces for tenants and visitors and lovely communal courtyard areas. Kingsbury House – 10 Kings Road, Richmond, TW10 6NW

The scheme comprises seventeen flats with Careline emergency control cover. The scheme was developed in 1991 by complete conversion and upgrading of the building. It has a number of additional facilities that would normally be associated with a Category 2 scheme. Kingsbury House is situated at the top end of Kings Road. Canford Place – Munster Road, Teddington, TW11 9LE

25 home purpose built scheme, comprising of sixteen, 1 bedroom flats and nine, 1 bedroom bungalows. This is a very attractive scheme in a good residential area, near local shops and good public transport links. Canford Place is located approximately 20 minutes from Kingston,15 minutes from Teddington High Street and is near to bus routes. There are two floors in the scheme with a lift. The scheme has a communal laundry, communal gardens, guest room and non allocated parking bays at the front of the building for tenants and visitors. Canford Place is covered by emergency control centre 24 hours per day.
Clonmel Road and Wilcox Road – Teddington, TW11 0SP

Clonmel Road and Wilcox Road is one scheme but includes two buildings separated by a shared car park – non allocated spaces for tenants and visitors. At Clonmel Road, there are 4 one bedroom flats and at Wilcox Road, there are 2 one bedroom and 2 two bedroom flats. There are two floors in each building. The scheme is covered by emergency control centre 24 hours per day.
Oval Court, Broad Street, Teddington, TW11 8QZ

A 10 flat, purpose built scheme completed in 1994, comprises six, 1 bedroom and four, 2 bedroom flats on the first and second floors (the ground floor contains shops). There is a lift. This scheme shares a Resident Manager with adjoining sales schemes at Bartons Court/Fishers Court. These are good sized flats in an excellent location for all facilities.

Wensleydale Road was re-developed in 2005. It consists of 17 one bedroom flats and 3 two bedroom flats. There are two blocks to this development with 2 floors in each block served by lifts. The scheme has communal grounds and a car park with non allocated spaces for tenants and visitors. It is close to public transport and shops. The scheme is covered by emergency control centre 24 hours per day. It also benefits from a weekly visit from the Trust’s Sheltered Support Officer.
23 Rydens Avenue, Walton, KT12 3NS

23 Rydens Avenue was re-developed in 2004. The scheme consists of 4 one bedroom and 4 two bedroom flats over two floors. There is a lift in the building. Other communal facilities include a lounge, garden areas and car park – non allocated spaces for tenants and visitors. This scheme is covered 24 hours per day by the emergency control centre. However, it also benefits from weekly visits carried out by the Trust’s Sheltered Support Officer. Rydens Avenue is further than some schemes from shops and other amenities.

The Trust has an open waiting list for its sheltered housing schemes.
To be eligible to apply for one of the Trust’s sheltered schemes you need to be 55 years or over and you will need to complete an application form.
