Your rent account

The rent that you pay to us enables us to provide your home and services. This is why paying your rent is so important.

If you are experiencing difficult paying your rent please follow this link.

When must I pay my rent?

Weekly

If your tenancy started on a Monday, you must pay your weekly rent in advance on or before the Monday of each week.

If you are receiving Housing Benefit the amount that you need to pay yourself will not be the full rent however, the amount that you have to pay still needs to be paid by the Monday of each week.

If you don’t know how much you need to pay, please ring your Income Recovery Officer on 020 8481 7277, option 2.

Monthly

If you want to pay your rent monthly, you must pay in advance by the first of each month.

Below is an example of how to calculate your monthly rent;

  • If your weekly rent = £100.00, multiply £100.00 by 52 weeks to work out the annual rent charge = £5200.
  • Divide £ 5200 by 12 months = £433.34 rent charge per month.

If you pay your rent in arrears, the option to pay monthly may be withdrawn.
