Resettlement Service
The Resettlement and Support Service is free and completely confidential.
Your personal information will remain confidential and won’t be shared with anyone except where required to by law (for example to protect children).
We help lots of people with different needs. Practical help if you are physically disabled and support if you have a mental health problem or learning difficulty. We can also support you if you are struggling after relationship breakdown, bereavement or suffering domestic abuse.
We may be able to offer extra help and support when you first move into your home. If you are an existing tenant you may need extra help to manage your finances or be at risk of losing your home. We can provide support if you are afraid of someone living with your or you are a victim of crime.
The Resettlement and support Coordinator works with you offering specific support to you as an individual or family as you need it. For example, we can help you to deal with official bodies and fill in any forms as well as provide more in depth personal support. With your permission, we can also work with other people on your behalf including the Council and Social Services. We can act as a Coordinator to bring all the help you need together.
You can stop receiving support or choose not to use the service at any time. We have to limit the number of people being helped at any one time to make sure everyone gets the amount of time and support they need.
If there are a lot of enquires, you may be asked to go onto a waiting list. We will give you an idea of how long you will have to wait. Very urgent cases will be dealt with as a priority. If you would rather not wait, we can refer you to other agencies for help, such as Social Services, CAB or voluntary agencies such as Victim Support or Refuge.
If you are not sure where to turn and think we might be able to help you, please contact us for an informal & confidential chat. Customer Services are available on 020 8481 7277, option 2 or speak to your Tenancy Services Officer or Income Recovery Officer. You can also email us at info@rutcht.org.uk
